Confidence doesn’t have to feel exhausting

Confidence Without Hustle

May is here, and this month, we’re doing confidence differently.

Not louder.
Not busier.
Not more pressure.

Just… steadier.

Because somewhere along the way, many of us started believing that confidence had to be earned through productivity, perfection, or proving ourselves.

But what if that’s not true?

What if confidence isn’t something you chase…but something you return to?

This week is about releasing pressure and learning to show up from a place of contentment, not exhaustion.

A few prompts to guide you this week:

  • Where have I been equating confidence with productivity?
  • What would confidence without hustle look like for me?
  • What pressure can I release?

You don’t have to do all of them perfectly.
Just choose one each day and reflect.

Engagement Ideas

1.May 13 – International Hummus Day

Hummus is such a simple and delicious option and easy to personalize. You could share a base recipe and invite everyone to get creative with their own variations. Then bring it all together with pita bread, chips, and fresh veggies for a fun tasting and sampling time.

2. May – Better Sleep Month

Challenge yourself (and others) to track sleep habits for a week and look for small ways to improve quality of rest. Focus on things like bedtime routines, screen time, room temperature, and light. Even small adjustments can make a big difference.

Things I'm Loving

  1. Salad of the week. This Micro Chop Kale Salad with Jalapeño Lemon Dressing is so good—and even friends who don’t usually love kale enjoyed it. Honestly, every salad I’ve tried from Kale Junkie has been a winner.
  2. Also, my salsa won Top Red Salsa at our work competition last week! I tweaked a Texas Monthly Summertime Salsa recipe, and it was a hit.
A Thought to Carry With You
“You don’t have to prove your worth this week.
You don’t have to earn your place.
You don’t have to rush to be enough.
You already are.”

The Weekly Reset Practical encouragement for calm, clear, and sustainable leadership. Reclaiming Your Voice Last week, we released pressure. This week, we take the next step: we begin using our voice again. As an introvert, this is something I am constantly challenging myself to grow in. There are still moments when I don’t take the step of faith to speak up, and honestly, I usually regret staying quiet. But the times I have spoken up have helped build my confidence and reminded me that I can...

The Weekly Reset Practical encouragement for calm, clear, and sustainable leadership. Clarity Through Reflection What a month April has been. We’ve spent this time focusing on clarity, slowing down, creating space, and learning to listen a little more closely. As we close out the month, I want to invite you into one simple question: What is God highlighting in your life right now? We are approaching the middle of Q2 and already one-third of the way through 2026. This is a perfect time to pause...

The Weekly Reset Practical encouragement for calm, clear, and sustainable leadership. Clarity Through Reflection Reflection is becoming a lost art, but it’s one we desperately need to bring back. We move so fast from one thing to the next that we rarely stop long enough to process what just happened… what we felt… or what God might be trying to show us through it. But clarity doesn’t come from constant motion. It comes from intentional pause. When you take time to reflect, on your day, on a...
