You don’t need the whole plan

Clarity Through Reflection

What a month April has been.
We’ve spent this time focusing on clarity, slowing down, creating space, and learning to listen a little more closely.

As we close out the month, I want to invite you into one simple question:

What is God highlighting in your life right now?

We are approaching the middle of Q2 and already one-third of the way through 2026. This is a perfect time to pause and reflect.

Take a few moments with these prompts:

  • What thought, theme, or word keeps coming up for you?
  • Where do you feel a gentle nudge you can’t quite ignore?

I’ll be honest, I can be a slow learner. Sometimes it feels like God has to get my attention more than once (or twice). But eventually, clarity comes.

Once you recognize what He is highlighting, take it one step further:

What is one small, aligned action you can take?

For me, that step is surrender, releasing control and choosing to trust Him more than I trust myself.

As you reflect, sit with this verse:

“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, you will hear a voice behind you…” — Isaiah 30:21

Let that be your reminder: you don’t need the whole plan.
You just need to trust the next step.

In your prayer time, you might ask:

“Lord, what are You emphasizing in this season?
Help me trust the next step, even before I see the whole staircase.”

End-of-Month Reflection

As April comes to a close, take a few moments to look back:

  • What is becoming clearer now than it was in March?
  • Where do you feel peace when you think about the future?

Clarity often shows up quietly, but it brings peace with it.

As we step into May, write down one clear step you’re carrying forward.

Next month, we’ll shift our focus to confidence and I can’t wait to walk through that with you.

Engagement Ideas

1.National Salsa Month + Cinco de Mayo (on Taco Tuesday!)

Gather some friends and host a salsa competition! Pair it with chips, tacos, and good conversation. Food + fun + a little friendly competition always brings people together. (We are having our 3rd annual salsa competition at work next week!)

2. May is National Salad Month

Each week, I’ll be sharing one of my favorite salad recipes. You could:

  • Host a salad swap
  • Plan a luncheon or dinner with friends
  • Share recipes as a group

Let’s start early with a favorite: Lemon Garlic Tortellini Pasta Salad
It’s light, refreshing, and versatile, enjoy it as a vegetarian option or add your favorite protein.

Things I'm Loving

  1. Resistance Loops. I have a love/hate relationship with these, but they work. They add just the right amount of challenge to leg and glute workouts, and they’re perfect for travel.
  2. Thoughtfulls by Compendium. Such a simple, meaningful way to show appreciation. Each card opens to reveal a quote and has space for a personal note. A small gesture that can make a big impact.
A Thought to Carry With You

The Weekly Reset Practical encouragement for calm, clear, and sustainable leadership. Mid-Year Heart Check After spending time with so many managers at convention, one thought stayed with me during the drive home. Growth doesn't always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like a conversation that would have felt intimidating six months ago. Sometimes it looks like someone asking a thoughtful question, sharing a new idea, or encouraging another manager. Sometimes it looks like quietly realizing,...

The Weekly Reset Practical encouragement for calm, clear, and sustainable leadership. Last week, I read a devotional on the Uplift app about Romans 2:4: "Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?" I also appreciated how The Message translates this passage: "God is kind, but he's not soft. In kindness he takes us firmly by the hand and leads us into a radical life-change." I've read...

How to Discern Your Next Step Discernment is one of those words we don't use every day, but it's a skill we all need. Simply put, discernment is the ability to see clearly, understand what matters, and make wise...
