March gave us renewal—April brings clarity

The Weekly Reset

Practical encouragement for calm, clear, and sustainable leadership.

March has been all about renewal.

This month, we’ve talked about renewing our minds, rebuilding confidence after exhaustion, creating renewal through boundaries, and even doing a little spring cleaning for the heart.

My hope is that this month has brought you less stress, more joy, and a deeper sense of renewal, much like the beautiful spring weather so many of us are getting to enjoy right now.

As March comes to a close and we look ahead to April, I hope you carry the things we’ve learned together into your everyday life. Renewal is not just a season, it’s a rhythm. We all deserve space for rest, joy, clarity, and fresh starts.

As we step into Easter week, my prayer is that it brings you exactly that: moments of peace, celebration, and meaningful time with the people you love most. I hope the weekend ahead is filled with family, friends, gratitude, and the kind of joy that fills your soul back up.

And with April comes the beginning of a brand-new quarter.

The start of Q2 gives us such a beautiful opportunity to reset with intention. This month, we’ll be diving into clarity, confidence, and calling, creating rhythms that help you move forward with purpose and peace.

Engagement Ideas

1.Enjoy a Spring Picnic

I recently had the pleasure of joining a friend in Washington, D.C. for work, and we got to enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms. I hadn’t experienced that kind of spring beauty since moving back to Texas after living in Japan, and it felt like such a gift.

Even if you’re not somewhere with blossoming trees, you can still soak in the beauty of the season. Pack a simple lunch, step outside, and let the sunshine remind you to slow down and savor the moment.

2. April 13- Plant Appreciation Day

Celebrate by planting flowers, herbs, or veggies in your garden this spring. No garden? No problem. A beautiful potted plant on your porch, desk, or kitchen counter can still bring life and freshness into your space.

Things I'm Loving

  1. Shady Rays Sunglasses. I love being outside in the sunshine, but I truly can’t do it without a great pair of sunglasses. I’ve been loving Shady Rays for their quality, their fun selection, and one surprisingly important detail—they don’t get tangled in my hair when I push them up on my head, which feels like a tiny everyday win.
  2. Million Mile Month. Starting April 1, one of my absolute favorite things begins—Million Mile Month. It’s a global movement challenge where people from all over come together with one shared goal: complete one million miles of activity during the month of April. Whether you love walking, running, biking, swimming, or simply moving your body more intentionally, this is such a fun and meaningful way to be part of something bigger. The best part? It’s completely free to join. I love the sense of momentum, encouragement, and collective energy it brings to the month. There’s something so powerful about knowing every mile you move contributes to a larger shared mission. If you’ve been looking for a fresh way to welcome spring, build confidence through consistency, and create simple movement rhythms, this is the perfect place to start.
A Thought to Carry With You
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” — Isaiah 43:19

Here’s to stepping into April renewed, grounded, and ready for what’s next.

With joy,

The Weekly Reset Practical encouragement for calm, clear, and sustainable leadership. Reclaiming Your Voice Last week, we released pressure. This week, we take the next step: we begin using our voice again. As an introvert, this is something I am constantly challenging myself to grow in. There are still moments when I don’t take the step of faith to speak up, and honestly, I usually regret staying quiet. But the times I have spoken up have helped build my confidence and reminded me that I can...

The Weekly Reset Practical encouragement for calm, clear, and sustainable leadership. Confidence Without Hustle May is here, and this month, we’re doing confidence differently. Not louder. Not busier. Not more pressure. Just… steadier. Because somewhere along the way, many of us started believing that confidence had to be earned through productivity, perfection, or proving ourselves. But what if that’s not true? What if confidence isn’t something you chase…but something you return to? This week...

The Weekly Reset Practical encouragement for calm, clear, and sustainable leadership. Clarity Through Reflection What a month April has been. We’ve spent this time focusing on clarity, slowing down, creating space, and learning to listen a little more closely. As we close out the month, I want to invite you into one simple question: What is God highlighting in your life right now? We are approaching the middle of Q2 and already one-third of the way through 2026. This is a perfect time to pause...
