The Power of One Clear Yes

What deserves your wholehearted yes in this season?

Pause there for a moment.

Not next month.
Not when life calms down.
Not when everyone else’s needs are met.

In this season.
What truly deserves your wholehearted yes?

Every day we are presented with countless opportunities:
join this committee,
attend this event,
bring something for this fundraiser,
help with this project,
say yes to one more thing.

And while many of these opportunities are good, not all of them are yours.

That is where clarity becomes kindness.

A clear yes is powerful because it protects your energy, your peace, and your calling.
Every unnecessary yes costs something:
focus,
margin,
rest,
presence,
or progress on what matters most.

Lately, I have been weighing my decisions with more intention.
Instead of asking, Can I do this?
I have been asking,
Does this support the season I’m in and the woman God is calling me to be right now?

That one question changes everything.

This week, I want to gently challenge you:
say no to one thing that no longer supports your calling.

Then ask yourself:
What have I been overcomplicating?
Choose one priority today and finish it first.

Not ten things.
Not the whole week.
Just the next clear yes.

And if this feels hard, begin in prayer:

God, give me the courage to say yes to what aligns and no to what distracts. Strengthen my yes and steady my no. Amen.

Engagement Ideas

1.Celebrate National Tea Day — April 21

Create a simple tea ritual this week. Set up a tea bar with hot and iced options, fresh fruit, herbs, lemon slices, and a few sweeteners. Let it become a moment to slow down and ask, What deserves my yes today?

2. Canine Fitness Month

April is Canine Fitness Month, which makes it the perfect excuse to step outside with your four-legged best friend. A walk with your dog can become a moving clarity practice—fresh air, prayer, and one intentional decision. No dog? Borrow joy from a friend or neighbor and let the walk clear your mind.

Things I'm Loving

  1. BodySpec DEXA Scan
If you love data that helps you make intentional wellness choices, this has been such a fun discovery. You get a clear picture of your body composition at a fraction of the typical cost, and results come quickly.
  2. Erin Condren Life Planners
The newest collection is absolutely beautiful and it just launched. The fresh layouts and designs make planning feel peaceful and inspiring again, which this paper-loving heart adores.
A Thought to Carry With You
From Greg McKeown’s Essentialism:
“Take a deep breath. Get present in the moment and ask yourself what is important this very second.”
Sometimes clarity is not about the whole plan.
It is simply knowing what deserves your yes right now.

The Weekly Reset Practical encouragement for calm, clear, and sustainable leadership. Reclaiming Your Voice Last week, we released pressure. This week, we take the next step: we begin using our voice again. As an introvert, this is something I am constantly challenging myself to grow in. There are still moments when I don’t take the step of faith to speak up, and honestly, I usually regret staying quiet. But the times I have spoken up have helped build my confidence and reminded me that I can...

The Weekly Reset Practical encouragement for calm, clear, and sustainable leadership. Confidence Without Hustle May is here, and this month, we’re doing confidence differently. Not louder. Not busier. Not more pressure. Just… steadier. Because somewhere along the way, many of us started believing that confidence had to be earned through productivity, perfection, or proving ourselves. But what if that’s not true? What if confidence isn’t something you chase…but something you return to? This week...

The Weekly Reset Practical encouragement for calm, clear, and sustainable leadership. Clarity Through Reflection What a month April has been. We’ve spent this time focusing on clarity, slowing down, creating space, and learning to listen a little more closely. As we close out the month, I want to invite you into one simple question: What is God highlighting in your life right now? We are approaching the middle of Q2 and already one-third of the way through 2026. This is a perfect time to pause...
